There are many reasons why Condo Living on Lake Norman is attractive; the highly social boating community, the close proximity of shopping and restaurants, and the glorious sunsets are certainly among them. When you are soaking up the west setting sun, there is a feeling that the City is light years away. Waterfront condo prices vary greatly based first on the view.  After that the size, the location, the condition, the updating that has been done, and the community amenities all factor in. Most of the condos on Lake Norman were built between 1985 and 2000 with a few newer ones.  The ones with "true" waterfront settings and best views will be the older ones. A very small number of the waterfront condos include deeded boat slips.  Some others have access to community boat slips that can be leased or are close to a marina with wet slips or dry storage options available. There will not be many more true waterfront condos built on the lake and any that are built will be required to sit back farther from the water than the older ones.  This specialized group of properties will be good long-term investments.
