Mooresville, NC

Mooresville is a town covering about 14.7 square miles about 25 miles north of Charlotte on the northeast side of Lake Norman. It registered a population of 32,711 in the 2010 census and is currently estimated at over 37,000. Mooresville refers to itself as "Race City" because of the number of NASCAR teams that have their shops and offices there.

Mooresville includes two zip codes; 28115 on the east side of I-77 and 28117 mostly on the west side along Lake Norman. You will find a wide range of housing options in Mooresville. Neighborhoods range from starter-homes all the way up to The Point with its multi-million dollar waterfront homes and Trump National Golf Club.

The old downtown is east of I-77 and works hard to stay vital with restaurants, shops, and other businesses. Many independent local businesses are renovating the old buildings and opening eateries, coffee shops, and other businesses.

Highway 150 is exit #36 off I-77 at Mooresville and is the main east-west corridor across the top of the main body of Lake Norman. Along Hwy 150 you will find a large selection of national retailers, chain restaurants, and big-box stores.
