The Peninsula is an extremely popular, classic golf club neighborhood on Lake Norman that has maintained its value well. It wraps around a beautiful golf course that runs along the lake. Club memberships are available for golf, pool, tennis, and social. There is a separate Yacht Club.

 

Peninsula Golf CourseThe neighborhood has about 750 custom-built homes.  Most were built between 1991 and 2000 with a couple dozen lot owners building later. Some of the older homes may be due for updating, but this is one neighborhood where that money is well-spent. There is a wide variety of home sizes and prices. Off-water homes run mostly from the high $400's to $1m with waterfront homes priced from $1 million to $5 million. Some homes have private docks and some of the others have deeded community boat slips. HOA fees are $1224 per year for common area maintenance. Amenities are optional and available through various levels of club memberships.
